While it’s not quite a surprise to see a film about fashion leading the pack in the Best Costume Design category, any film that manages to steal an art-related award from Dune is impressive. Cruella has won 100% of the eligible precursor awards, with the only other wins going to Dune and Coming 2 America at the Costume Designers Guild, which splits by genre. Keep an eye on Dune if they’re having a big night, but place your bets on Cruella to win.
